To some extent probably all of us have been spiritually empty, dry, dull, devoid of joy, devoid of life, frustrated, unhappy, discontent, completely out-of-sorts with God, with our families, with our brothers and sisters, seemingly out-of-sorts with the entire world, and even out of sorts with ourselves. When we find ourselves in this spiritual state, awakening like the prodigal son in the pigpen of existence, how do we get home? We will explore the effects of sin and suffering on worship leadership.

SONGWRITING: WRITING FOR YOUR CHURCH
In this breakout session, we’ll discuss how to write relevant songs that minister and speak to your local Body. The best and the greatest songs start small: inside the local Church context. Learn how to start with what you know: Our God, His Word, His people, their personal situations, what the Lord is speaking to your local congregation and to your city. We’ll discuss songwriting fundamentals, the right style, structure, and approach for your people, and co-writing with your team for your church.

THE WAY OF WORSHIP: BROKENNESS
"Why BROKENNESS such an important part of worship!"
Brokenness!  All of us will go through a season of brokenness. The Sweet Psalmist of Israel declares, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart” (Psalm 51:17). Some have been so bold to say, “Its impossible to truly worship God unless the worshiper has gone through a time of brokenness.” How does this principle apply to the 21st-century worshiper? Listen as Dr. Vernon Whaley unpacks this important, Biblical principle for those desiring to live and lead a life of authentic worship.

THIS IS YOUR BRAIN ON WORSHIP
For some churchgoers, singing in worship is simply the appetizer for a meaty sermon or a talent only a select few possess, so why does the Bible instruct us to sing together time and time again? CULTIVATING A WORD & SPIRIT CULTURE
A full understanding of God’s Presence is the foundation to understanding and developing a ‘Word-and-Spirit’ church culture. The ‘Presence’ of God is a multi-faceted reality that we encounter in a variety of ways: We ‘encounter’ His presence in Worship; in The Scriptures; in the manifestations of The Holy Spirit; in the act of serving; in the natural as well as the supernatural; in our interaction with people; and in suffering.

RIGHT WORSHIP : SOUNDING CREATION'S PRAISE
In this workshop, we will explore the importance of orthodoxy, or right worship, to the ordering of our own lives to Christ. We will use John 4:1-26 as a prime example of God’s call to right worship, and we’ll look at worship as precisely the most important activity of any Christian. Emphasis will be given to worship as play and leading the praise of creation, conducing to Christians being poured out for the reconciliation of the entire created order. We will then move into an exploration of worship as participation in heavenly things, calling us to greater transformation into Christlikeness through Word and Table. From 1 Corinthians 10:14-22, we will consider how partaking of the Lord’s supper sends us on a mission to be broken and poured out for the life of the world.
